In this talk, we discuss why sleep is essential for any developer, how much sleep you need to write code, and how to optimize your sleep to get the most out of it.

Why do we sleep? The science is clear that sleep is essential for a healthy, productive and meaningful life. It is especially important for developers who need to be creative, and alert to produce a high-quality product.

While we all know that sleep is necessary, very few of us know how much and, more importantly, how we should sleep. Similarly to professional athletes who use the science of sleep to improve their performance, tech professionals can use this exact science to their advantage.

In this talk, we discuss ways to get healthy sleep, and what techniques we can use to get the best mental and physical rest. We dive deep into the science of sleep to make our rest more beneficial and adaptable.
